Ensuring the Flow of Goods Through to Shipping

LILA handles the entire warehousing and distribution process—from Goods Receipt through storage and Picking to packaging, shipping, and optional customs clearance. These processes are managed operationally and controlled using IT systems, tailored to the requirements of industry, retail, or manufacturing.

Automated small-parts picking relies on two approaches: automated small-parts warehouses (AKL) handle the retrieval of goods, while “pick-by-light” or “pick-by-voice” systems assist the picker in retrieving specific items. Both approaches can be used depending on requirements—either individually or in combination. 

Warehouse and distribution processes are managed through a warehouse management system and integrated with customers’ ERP systems, such as SAP. This ensures that inventory, order, and status data are available consistently and transparently. 

Volume fluctuations are offset by adaptable warehousing and order-picking processes, as well as the use of multi-customer structures. Staffing, space, and technology can be flexibly adjusted to accommodate seasonal or campaign-related peaks. 

Quality and Compliance are ensured through standardized processes, documented procedures, and ongoing checks during day-to-day operations. Customs clearance is carried out according to clearly defined, compliant procedures to avoid delays and risks in international shipping.
