The use of the Nimmsta Werable has significantly optimized the picking process at the Besigheim location.

At the Besigheim site, various items for the automotive industry are picked and shipped. Previously, employees needed both hands to scan the large parts and then sort them into the picking carts. The MDE device had to be set down and picked up again after each scan, which slowed down the process and took time.

In its search for a device that offered a “hands-free” option, Lila Logistik found what it was looking for at the Munich-based startup Nimmsta. After a brief trial period, the company opted for the HS 50 Wearables.

The Nimmsta Wearables have now been in use for over a year. The scanner can be worn on either the right or left hand and weighs only 45 grams, making daily use more comfortable for the wearer. This not only allows employees to pick orders more ergonomically and quickly, but also eliminates the tedious process of putting the device on and taking it off.

The switch to the Nimmsta Wearables has significantly reduced the picking process. Damage to the merchandise has been prevented, and the error rate has been lowered.

Problem identified, innovative solution devised, and successfully implemented.
