Müller - Lila Logistik put two new electric trucks into service in April 2024, replacing existing vehicles with conventional drivetrains and further expanding its fleet of vehicles with alternative drivetrains.
Besigheim-Ottmarsheim. Müller - Lila Logistik has expanded its vehicle fleet with two additional alternative drive systems. In April 2024, the contract logistics provider headquartered in Besigheim-Ottmarsheim put two new electric trucks into service. The two new vehicles, with a maximum range of approximately 250 km—depending on load and terrain—are being used as a shuttle service on a loop route for Line Feeding at a local automaker’s production facilities, replacing existing vehicles with conventional powertrains.
Müller – Lila Logistik has thus expanded its fleet of vehicles with alternative drive systems by two more units. Since 2020, the company has been testing the use of synthetic fuels (HVO100) with several tractor-trailers in collaboration with an automaker and the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) as part of a four-year “re-Fuels” project. In addition, the first LNG-powered tractor-trailer was put into service at the end of 2021 for a three-year test phase.
With these measures, Müller – Lila Logistik is not only reinforcing its own Sustainability strategy but also supporting its customers’ efforts toward decarbonization.
