MÜLLER | DIE LILA LOGISTIK is putting its first electric tractor-trailer into service, making its operations not only environmentally friendly but also taking a step toward the future of logistics.
With a battery capacity of 311 kWh, this vehicle is equipped with an LFP battery system. LFP stands for lithium iron phosphate battery and offers a longer service life—in this case, up to 3,500 charge cycles. In addition, these lithium iron phosphate batteries are more thermally stable and less prone to overheating or catching fire, which makes them particularly suitable for use in trucks.
The tractor unit’s four electric drive motors deliver 610 PS to the road with three times the efficiency of their diesel counterparts. The continuously variable single-speed transmission ensures a smooth start. Optimized for payload and featuring a unique range (125 kWh/100 km) of up to 250 km, this vehicle replaces equivalent diesel vehicles on the round-trip route to our customer’s site in Freiberg am Neckar.
In operation, our new electric tractor truck produces no local emissions. This means our environment is not polluted by soot particles, NOx, CO2, or engine noise. The vehicle batteries can later be reused as stationary storage systems in a second life and subsequently even recycled.
We are pleased to make an innovative contribution to an environmentally conscious, sustainable future for logistics through our fleet and our investment in alternative drive technologies, particularly electric mobility.
